All Wood Cabinetry W3018-WCN 30-Inch Wide by 18-Inch High, Factory Assembled – Ready to Install All Wood Kitchen Cabinet, Westport Cinnamon MapleIf you are thinking of buying a new kitchen first think about what really entails to replace a new kitchen.
A kitchen is not like buying a new car where you can just go an find the one you need and buying it. A kitchen remodel entails on an average of 2-4 months from planning, designing, ordering, demolition, and finishing your kitchen. Planning means to hire someone like a contractor, designer, installers, and in some cases moving out of your house. Designing a kitchen needs to be done by a proffesional. Many contractors know what they are doing but if you are trying to save some money you may try to tackle this on your own. This comes in handing if you know how to DIY or are a very handing person. I have from experience help hundreds of customers whom think that they can plan, design, or install their own kitchen come to find out that it takes some people up to a year to finish their proyect. This may become extreme and in some cases people had to move to a friends or family member’s home. In reality when you remodel your kitchen you will not have running water, working stove, and your house will be a mess because your food and plates will be in the garage. Believe me I have heard horor stories on this topic and i will advise you to prepare yourself for the worse.
It is very unlikely that your kitchen remodel takes under 2 months total. You need to consider painting, flooring work, lighting, plumbing, new appliances, demolition, countertop installation, and ordering cabinets; which usually take no less than 3 weeks on the average. So if you are budgeting to replace your kitchen for about no more than $5,000 dlls be more realistic and before you do anything get prices on everything before hand. The price of your new house is not going to go up in value any time soon. So if you get caught up in the refinancing myth of upgrading your home it will bring the value just check your neighbors kitchen first and get an opinion from realtors.
I suggest that you reface your kitchen with new doors. If you have Mill’s Pride Cabinets you should go to http://www.millspridekitchens.com or if you have any other brand of door style go to http://www.skb-kitchens.com and replace the doors you will be happier in the long run and save a lot of money.
