cheaper but will rust
I personally prefer the metal over the wooden. They are a little longer lasting, and termites can’t eat them.
will this be for ur home use?
Wood looks better
Metal will creat noise when accidentally tapped
..Depends what metal or wood and what is your theme??
They are quite heavy and normally used for tools in garages.
I like metal cabinets. They last forever. The only disadvantage is that they dent easily.
It depends of course on where and what you’ll be putting in them. Metal would apply more to a garage or shed type of location. Wood is more for a home location. Metal is probably easier to keep clean by just wiping off the dust where as the wood will need special care like dusting and waxing periodically. Hope this was helpful
they will rust soon if water spills on it day by day, and they r heavy
I had metal cabinets and I had to paint them. They started to rust and you have to update the paint because it wears off over time. Wood cabinets are much nicer and quieter too. I found that the metal hinges got rusted too and had to wd-40 them. Hope that helps you.
Everyone so far has excellent info. Metal will dent and rust if not properly cared for. Wood can certainly be more expensive but it looks better. You don’t say where you will be using the cabinet. If you use metal and it rusts, you could paint it over with a rust proofing spray paint. Go with your budget and space requirements. Either choice has plenty of options.
