Replacing master bathroom cabinets?

We need to rip out and replace our master bathroom cabinets (dual sink). They are water damaged and have no drawers. We don’t want anything fancy, just simple cabinets with drawers, under sink storage and a simple countertop. The space isn’t that large, 21 1/8 deep and 37 5/8 long. Approximately how much would this cost? Is Home Depot a good place to go to buy the cabinets and have them installed? I don’t want to get ripped off but this is our first attempt at remodeling so we are a bit clueless. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I bought my cabinets from Lowe’s becuase I found the selection a bit more my style. Go the the Lowe’s website to see what they have.

There are custom cabinet shops, but they will be pricier…You could also see if there is a place that sells used or refinished items.

We bought some of our stuff at a builders auction as well

If you are in the MD area – email me, as my husband is in the remodeling trade and knows a bunch of salvage yards too.

Either way, make sure you have a plumber’s number on hand just in case!! We discovered problems AFTER we had already demolish the old stuff… oh well, live & learn I guess

Would one of these work for you:

They’re pretty inexpensive & attractive. All you would have to do is hook up the plumbing.

I’ve never had The Home Depot install cabinets, so I can’t comment on that.

This would be a great project for you to do on your own. Measure the space that the cabinets need to fit into. Go to Lowes, HD, etc and see if you can find something that looks good and fits. What you are describing isn’t big enough to be difficult. Taking out the old cabinets will be easy. A pry bar and hammer could probably do it. Maybe a drill and a reciprocating saw if they are really anchored in there. As long as there are cut-off valves under the sink the plumbing will be simple.

I just re-did a 1/2 bath. I bought a single sink with the cabinet for $170. I put a new faucet on for $100. If you do this yourself you can do it for <$500 easy.

If nothing fits go to a cabinet maker. Any place that does custom kitchen cabinets can do bathroom cabinets. They will measure the space, build them to order and install them for you.

Go buy Black and Decker’s Guide to Home improvement. That book will show you how to do darn near anything.

My only other suggestion is this: If you buy any new power tools, buy good ones. Porter-cable, Milwaukee, Dewalt. You won’t ever have to replace them.

Any store that sells kitchen and bath cabinets and sinks can help you. If you are unsure about your dimensions, they also will do your measurements. It doesn’t cost anything to sit down with a representative in Loews or Home Depot to discuss your choices and options. If you are close to an Ikea, they also have kitchen and bath options.
