This shelf is lighter than it appears, allowing for much easier assembly, but less sturdy shelving options. Also, the dimensions in the description did not match; actual item was slightly larger than maximum dimensions specified, making it too large to fit where I had originally planned to use it.

Well, I had placed this on my wishlist – mainly as a bookmark to myself but lo and behold I ended up receiving it as a birthday gift! The cabinet comes completely unassembled but in surprisingly few pieces and boasts of “No Tools” assembly, which should have made assembly a breeze. Unfortunately it wasn’t all that simple. Instructions are OK though they are multi-language which always makes it a bit more difficult as you skip around to the English lines. Plus the illustrations are small and thus don’t show much detail. A couple of the plastic pieces in my box were slightly mis-formed which made lining things up very difficult. Having many years of experience assembling childrens’ toys and other furniture, I can usually get things like this together one way or another; I really did not feel like sending it back for an exchange. So after some shaving of overmolds in the plastic and having to bang a little with a hammer I got it all together. The backing piece is, as usual, a fairly flimsy sheet of plastic and when assembled with the word “TOP” at the top, none of the side holes lined up – off by several inches. I worried that I might have installed the sides upside-down (they would have worked either way up), so I checked and that didn’t make a difference; the holes were way off both ways up. So I had to punch new holes with a scratch awl in order to get the little plastic fasteners inserted.
Now it is all assembled but I haven’t yet mounted it on the wall. The unit feels reasonably sturdy – for being all plastic – though I am very glad that I plan to keep very light supplies in the cabinet; I am not confident that the cabinet would hold up well with any weight in it.
For the price I really can’t complain much, and if needed I would probably purchase another of these, though I would first consider the weight of the intended contents.

We had our home inspected for foster care, and this is what we use for the household cleaners and medications/vitamins (we shop at Costco also). There is a hole for a padlock in the handles. It’s just the right size to fit in our water closet upstairs, and over our washer/dryer downstairs. It also really cleaned up the look of these storage areas. Follow the directions to the letter, don’t get out of order, and definitely measure the space before ordering. It almost didn’t fit in our water closet.

I bought my husband 2 of these wall cabinets for in our barn for storage for horse products. We origionally had a wooden cabinet that didn’t hold up and warped really bad. This Suncast cabinet is made really sturdy, and I expect it will hold up for years. Easy to assemble and hang. The way the shelves are made, it will hold weight pretty good without sagging………..good product.
