Thursday, June 10th, 2010Any suggestions on how to stain brand-new maple cabinets to a dark chocolate-like color?
Friday, March 19th, 2010I just bought a new house and it comes with new light maple cabinets. Rather than upgrading to a different color cabinet which can run up to $1200, we are thinking about staining the standard cabinets and save ourselves some money for other upgrades. Is it recommended and what is the best way to go about it? Obviously I plan to stain them before we move in.

What type of paint should I use to paint wooden cabinets and desks? How do I paint over dark furniture? ?
Sunday, February 7th, 2010I don’t want to use the spray paints I see at the stores for wooden furniture.
Also one of the desks is dark mahogany and I would like to paint it to a light color. Do I have to use a lot of layers of paint? Is a glossing coat needed for the cabinets and desks?
