Go to home depot. There are all sorts of free brochures in the paint section with color combos and pictures. Also try flipping through home decor magazines for ideas. Color is highly personal.

Black or dark countertops to contrast the maple cabinetry. Neutral warm tone tan for walls. Just designed a kitchen this way and the house sold immediately. Received great feedback on the kitchen. It was everyone’s favorite room. Looked similar to these colors:

green is a lovely calming colour for the kitchen, not too dark and oppressive though, go for a muted tone such as mint or apple. it brightens up the kitchen and will be well suited to your granite and maple worktops and units, and the stainless steel appliances will make it look nice too. accessories with lime utensil holders and possibly a nice plant in a stainless steel tub for the window. it will look lovely.

Maybe a very light grey or a nice light shade of tan or any very soft neutral colors. As for backsplashes, there are plenty of stores that you can check out to be sure that you have a nice tile or stone that matches your countertops. It is very important to have a backsplash that matches your granite, because there are many different types of granite like the dark black, or brown, or white, so just make sure that everything blends together, but still somethings pop out that are “good-popper-outers”. Good luck!

To find that perfect granite top I would suggest going to Google and looking up “granite counter tops” and then you will have tons of information and different types, styles and color matches to choose from that will match your kitchen scheme.
The paint color for the walls, I would go to my local paint/hardware store and get some color sample cards and match them up with the color scheme in my kitchen so as to get that perfect color to blend in with the style that is there.

You can never go wrong with tans because its a great color and matches everything without being too bright, but it will still add some color to the kitchen.

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the “painted” rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a fresh green like “jardin” (# 6723) would look very modern & perfect for the kitchen.

One of my favorite home renovations shows is “Spice Up My Kitchen” on HGTV. They always have the newest & coolest ideas. Here’s a link to its webpage which has the scheduled showtimes + links to the 10 most popular countertops & things like that:

Oh, and glass tile backsplashes & tin backsplashes are definitely “in” right now.
